Family Day – A Day to Eat Meals With Your Children, is part of a national effort to promote parental engagement as a simple, effective way to reduce substance abuse by children and teens and raise healthier children.
Family Day teaches the importance of frequent family meals and parental involvement in the lives of teens. That’s why local organizations like Project Help, Friday Night Live, Sacramento State University, People Reaching Out and the Sacramento County Alcohol and Drug Services Division are kicking off this campaign by encouraging everyone in Sacramento County to come to the table for a meal with their family.
So, we are asking for your help. Family Day is officially September 25th and your participation will assist us to continue those very necessary support programs which go such a long way in helping families start talking before they start drinking.
